Duties and Responsibilities:

The optician has to measure clients for glasses. They measure client’s bride and eye size, temple length, pupillary distance using measuring devices. They make sure that the lenses are made to specifications, maintain records of prescriptions, and contact insurance provider.

Becoming a Optician requires a high school diploma or an approved GED equivalent, and formal education and training or an apprenticeship.
