Duties and responsibilities:
Ophthalmologists are medically trained doctors who treat and help prevent diseases of the eye. They treat patients of all ages from babies to the elderly. The most common conditions are cataracts, glaucoma, diabetes and conditions resulting from ageing. They must examine the patient to make a diagnosis.
Salary: $258,566
Education: To become an Ophthalmologist you must receive a 4 year bachelor’s degree, complete 4 years of medical school, and 3-8 years of internships.
