Ophthalmic Technician
Duties and Responsibilities:
Their duties are to
make it easy for the doctor to diagnose someone. They take visual activity
measurements, measure pupil size and reactivity, corneal topography, assist
with contact lens fitting and patient instruction. They are the ones who see
the patient first and after they take all the needed information they give it
to the doctor and he will diagnose the patient.

Education:
To become an ophthalmic technician you must attend an
accredited ophthalmic technology training school. You must attend two years of
full time courses. You also need 2,000 hours of experience two become
certified.
