Duties and Responsibilities:
Optical laboratory technician cut, polish, and grind lenses for prescription classes or create prescription contact lenses. In some cases they might even make lenses for products like binoculars, microscopes, and telescopes.

Education:
If you would like to become an optical lab technician you should take algebra, chemistry, geometry, biology, mechanical drawing, industrial arts, computer skills, English, and health occupations/medical professions. You should take an internship and gain experience in a laboratory. There are no certification requirements.

 Their duties are to make it easy for the doctor to diagnose someone. They take visual activity measurements, measure pupil size and reactivity, corneal topography, assist with contact lens fitting and patient instruction. They are the ones who see the patient first and after they take all the needed information they give it to the doctor and he will diagnose the patient.

Education:
To become an ophthalmic technician you must attend an accredited ophthalmic technology training school. You must attend two years of full time courses. You also need 2,000 hours of experience two become certified.

Operating Room Technicians are the people who prepare a operating room for surgery.They make sure all tools and supplies are sterile and ready to use. They take the patient to a recovery room after surgery.They also have to clean up the operating room after the surgery is over.

Education:
If you want to become a operating room technician you should take health, biology, chemistry, advanced algebra, and trigonometry in high school. Enroll in a surgical technician training program. surgical technician programs are offered at most universities.Then you have to take and pass the surgical technician certification exam to become a certified surgical technologist.

The patients may have been born with this disability or perhaps the got into an accident, or just because of age. Occupational Therapist create individual treatment programs they may even suggest use of equipment to help with every day task.

Education: To become an Occupational Therapist you must have a master’s degree in Occupational Therapy. They must also be licensed by the state they choose to work in.


Reflection: I would not like to have this job because it requires a lot of school and it’s not something I’m interested in.
