Duties and
Responsibilities:
Psychiatric
aides take care of all the physical or mental needs of a person. They have to make beds, serve meals, and help
patients dress, eat, and bathe, if necessary. Check vital signs, administer
medications, collect specimens and blood samples, serve meals and feed patients
that need assistance. Organize, direct and encourage patients to participate in
educational, social and recreational activities. Provide intake services to
patients entering treatment.

Educational
Requirements:
You can
become a psychiatric aide with a high school diploma or high school equivalent
such as a G.E.D.
